Privacy notice
This notice lists everything Ocellus keeps about the people who use it. It is short because the list is short.
What we keep
- If you sign in: your public wallet address, and a session cookie that keeps you signed in. The cookie is essential to the service and is not used for advertising.
- If you ask for alerts: the email address you type, the token you were reading (if any), and the sentence you agreed to. Nothing else is stored with it. It is used only to tell you when alerts open, and every message will carry a one-click way to leave. You can also write to [email protected] to be removed.
- Usage counts: first-party counts of which pages and features are used. Visitors are told apart by a hash that changes every day and cannot be turned back into an IP address. We use no advertising or third-party analytics trackers.
- Abuse limits: your IP address is held for a short time, normally up to a day, to count how many scans came from one place.
- Your investigations: the token addresses you scan and the reports produced. A report is private to you unless you publish its share link.
What we do not keep
No names, no passwords, no private keys or seed phrases, no payment card details, and no contacts or device identifiers.
Who else handles data
Ocellus runs on Railway (hosting and database) behind Cloudflare (network and security). To build a report it sends public token and wallet addresses to blockchain data providers (Alchemy, Helius) and reads public pages (such as a token’s market listing, website and domain registration). Those services see the addresses being looked up, not who you are.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw consent for alert emails at any time, by writing to [email protected]. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
How long
Alert sign-ups are kept until you leave or alerts are discontinued. Session records expire. Abuse-limit entries are deleted within about a day.
